Do you like to make geographically interesting trips? For example, leave the Cretan Sea to swim in the Libyan? Arrived in Crete and want to sail on a boat? Do you love taking beautiful landscape photos? If we guessed at least one of the factors – and even if we didn’t guess – we invite you to our excursion to Chrissi Island. After all, Chrissi is the southernmost point of Europe (then only hot Afirka)!
Now it is strictly forbidden for ships to sail to the island (because Chrissi is a nature reserve that is under protection), so the trip program has been slightly changed
8:00 – 18:00
We will start collecting participants from pick-up points in the morning. Depending on the place of your hotel/apartment the bus drive will differ.
Bus Drive: 1.5 hours
The most southern and warmest town of Europe and departure place for the boat to Chrissi island. Embarkation on boat and across the Libyan Sea to the uninhabited island.
Boat Trip: 1 hour
You will have an hour boat trip to the island. The ship will stop 50 meters from the shore and throw a ladder into the water. For those who love and know how to swim – 2.5 hours of sea baths! If you wish, you can swim (or even walk) to the shore and spend about 1.5 hours there. For those who do not swim very well, they give out life jackets, and you can swim (again after descending from the ship) in them!
Boat Trip: 15 minutes
The ship will make one more stop – for lunch (if you wish, you can again swim in the azure waters of the Libyan Sea instead of lunch) and then return to Ierapetra, from where you will go back to your hotel by bus.
Boat Trip: 40 minutes
Embarkation in the buses and drive back to the hotels where we gathered participants in the morning.
Depending on traffic and on the pick-up places of each one, the time of journey back to the hotel will differ.
Bus Drive: 1 – 1.5 hours
