On the way, we will also visit the island of Gramvousa with a pirate fortress on the top of the hill with amazing views!

Begin of the tourMorning Pick up

We will start collecting participants from pick-up points in the morning. 
Depending on the place of your hotel/apartment the bus drive will differ.

Bus Drive to Port: 1 hour 

1st stopKasteli

The town of Kastelli at the western end of Crete.
That’s where the boat sails from, to Gramvoussa Peninsula and Balos lagoon.

 

Boat Trip: 1 hour

2nd stopGramvousa Peninsula – 2 hours

After the cruise across western Cretan sea, the boat arrives at Gramvousa.Walk up to the castle on the hill and take photos of the breathtaking panoramic view and Balos lagoon. Enjoy some time to swim and sunbathe by the coast.

Boat Trip: 15 minutes

3rd stopBalos Lagoon – 2 hours

After the cruise from Gramvousa, the boat will arrive at Balos lagoon. 
Travelers will have plenty of time to enjoy swimming in the crystal clear waters of Balos, walk across the golden sand beach and explore the nature around. 

Lunch: In the meantime, the restaurant of the boat will be open so clients can enjoy their meal any time between 12:00 and 17:00.

4th stopKasteli

Arrival by boat back at the port of Kasteli.

End of the tourReturn to resorts

Embarkation in the buses and drive back to the hotels where we gathered participants in the morning.

Depending on traffic and on the pick-up places of each one, the time of journey back to the hotel will differ.

Return Bus Drive to resorts: 3.5 hours(average)
*There will be a short stop on the way back for restroom and snack – 20 minutes

How much cost a boat ticket?

Boat ticket – 29 euros per adult, children from 5 to 11 years old – 15 euros, children under 4 years old – travel for free.

Is there a walking part?

The route to the Gramvousa fortress is a steep path upwards and will take about 20 minutes to reach the top. For people with sore legs and young children, this climb can seem quite hard. You can spend time on the beach instead.

Is it suitable for children?

Yes, if they tolerate long bus rides and staying on the sun.

Is there will be a lunch?

You can eat on the boat for an additional cost (about 12 euros per person).

Are there any changing rooms and showers on the beach?

Balos beach is a nature protected area and there are no changing rooms or toilets, you can use boat facilities instead. Also it is possible to rent an umbrella for 4 euros on the boat (ask your guide). There are sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach also but not many, price – 5-7 euros for a sunbed.

Where will the bus pick me up?

We offer pick-up from various points such us hotels and bus stops. As soon as you complete the booking, we will contact you in order to let you know the exact place and time of the Pick-up which is closer to your place of staying.

Where to get vouchers?

If you pay for an excursion on our website, we will send you a voucher by mail or by WhatsApp/Viber. You can also pay and receive vouchers at our offices or we can bring it to your hotel (unfortunately this service is available only for some areas)

What is cancellation policy?

If the excursion is cancelled more than a day in advance – 75% refund. In case of cancellation in less than a day – the cost is not refundable.
