We’ll begin our adventure with a scenic bus ride to the charming village of Sfakia on Crete’s rugged southern coast. From there, we take a boat to Glyka Nera, a breathtaking beach with crystal-clear turquoise waters and a unique fresh water spring bubbling up among the pebbles. Spend 2 blissful hours swimming, sunbathing, or exploring this secluded paradise.
As the sun sets, we’ll return by boat to Sfakia and then by bus to Rethymno, filled with memories of an incredible day. Our friendly guides will ensure you have the best experience, providing tips and assistance throughout the trip.

Bus Drive to Sfakia: 1.5-2 hours
From Sfakia, we embark on a boat journey to Glyka Nera, one of the island’s most breathtaking beaches.
Glyka Nera (Sweet Water Beach): As the boat approaches, you’ll be captivated by the sight of crystal-clear turquoise waters gently lapping against a pristine pebble beach, framed by towering cliffs. The name “Glyka Nera” comes from the fresh water spring that bubbles up right amongst the pebbles, offering a unique natural wonder. Spend 2 blissful hours swimming in the refreshing waters, sunbathing on the beach, or exploring the surrounding rugged beauty. This secluded paradise is perfect for those seeking tranquility and natural splendor.
After soaking in the magic of Glyka Nera, we’ll continue our journey by boat to the enchanting village of Loutro.
Loutro Village: Imagine whitewashed houses cascading down the hillside in a perfect amphitheater above a serene, azure bay. This picturesque setting looks like something out of a storybook. In Loutro, you’ll have 3 hours of free time to explore and unwind. Swim in the warm, inviting waters, stroll along the scenic shoreline, or savor a delicious meal at one of the charming local taverns. The fresh seafood and traditional Cretan dishes are a culinary delight not to be missed.
As the sun begins to set, we’ll take a leisurely boat ride back to Sfakia, where our comfortable bus will be waiting to bring you back to Rethymno, filled with memories of an incredible day.
