We will start collecting participants from pick-up points in the morning. Depending on the place of your hotel/apartment the bus/car drive will differ.
Take a leisurely stroll through the peaceful lanes of Fourni, a hidden mountainous village where time seems to stand still. Surrounded by olive groves and stone-built houses, this authentic corner of Crete offers a true glimpse into the island’s rural soul. If time allows, here we will make a stop at a “kafenion” – a traditional Cretan café, to drink a cup of so tasty freshly brewed Greek coffee or a glass of fresh and healthy orange juice!
Drive to Fourni village – 1 hour.
Pause for a breathtaking panoramic view over Spinalonga Island, a former leper colony and one of Crete’s most striking and symbolic landmarks! Here the fortress is seen as if in the palm of your hand and the sparkling waters of Mirabello Bay stretch out beneath you! It’s the kind of view that demands a deep breath — and a photo of course! With the sea, sky and history unfolding before your eyes, this moment is pure Cretan magic!
Drive to Moni Aretiou – 20 minutes.
Enjoy a relaxed walk through the elegant coastal town of Agios Nikolaos, a place where the sea sparkles beside cozy streets and a serene lake lies at the heart of the town. Explore its vibrant harbor, admire artful sculptures along the promenade and take in views of the deep-blue Mirabello Bay. Be sure, this most romantic city of the island will give you the full feeling of tranquility and inspiration!
Drive to Agios Nikolaos – 30 minutes.
Wander through the stone-paved streets of Kritsa, one of the oldest and most picturesque villages in Crete, nestled against the mountainside. This charming place is a living museum of Cretan tradition — with whitewashed houses, blooming flower pots, and locals weaving lace or selling handmade goods from tiny workshops. As you walk, you’ll feel the quiet beauty of village life and the deep roots of Cretan culture in every corner.
Drive to Kritsa – 15 minutes.
Drive back to the hotel/apartment where we gathered participants in the morning.
Drive back – 1 -1.5 hours.
